Designed for 1.5T 2016-2021 10th Generation Honda Civics, 2022+ 11th Generation Honda Civics, and 2023+ Acura Integra Base and A-Spec models, this new kit replaces the factory floating front calipers with a performance-focused fixed 4-piston caliper setup while allowing you to retain the applicable factory-size front rotors and factory brake lines.

The centerpiece of the kit is a pair of our 4-piston front brake calipers. Unlike the factory floating caliper, the 27WON caliper remains fixed in position while opposing pistons apply pressure to the brake pads from both sides of the rotor. The goal is a more direct and confidence-inspiring brake response, more consistent pressure across the brake pad, and better modulation when you start asking more from the braking system during spirited driving.

Supplied Sport Street pads are designed for the enthusiast who still drives their Civic or Integra on the street but wants a more performance-oriented pad for back roads, weekend drives, and spirited use. Because this is a different caliper design than our complete 27WON BBKs, it also uses its own brake pad shape. Replacement and alternative pad options are available for the new caliper platform.

Before talking too much more about this kit or brakes in general, it helps to look at the shortfalls of the OEM setup.
10th Gen Civic - On the non-Type R 10th Generation Civic, Honda uses a conventional single-piston sliding/floating front caliper. The Civic Si received the larger factory brake package, including a 310mm one-piece front rotor, while some lower trims received smaller front brakes. For example, the 10th Gen Hatchback Sport setup we originally measured used a 280mm front rotor.
11th Gen Civic - Honda followed a very similar recipe with the 11th Generation Civic. When we tore down and measured the factory brakes on the 2022 Civic Si, we found a single 55.5mm piston full-floating front caliper paired with a 312mm x 25mm vented cast-iron rotor. The complete Si front caliper assembly we measured came in at 12.5 lbs per corner, while the rotor weighed another 18.2 lbs. Honda also equipped some non-Si trims with smaller front brakes than the Si.
For an everyday commuter, those are all fine things. From a performance aspect, they are not.
Once the build starts making more power, getting better tires, attacking back roads, or simply being driven harder, the braking system becomes another area worth improving. Boiling brake fluid is not fun.

Caliper Upgrade or Full Big Brake Kit?
This really comes down to how you use the car and your budget. If your Civic or Integra is primarily a street car with some spirited driving mixed in and your goal is better caliper response, modulation, and a fixed 4-piston setup, our new Front Caliper Upgrade Kit may be exactly what you need.
You retain the factory-size rotor and factory brake lines while upgrading the caliper, pads, brackets, and hardware. And you can’t beat how great each of these colors will look behind your factory or aftermarket wheels.

Our full BBKs replace the complete front braking package with even larger 27WON forged 4-piston calipers, larger 330mm x 28mm two-piece rotors, stainless-steel brake lines, pads, brackets, and hardware. The larger rotor package increases the thermal capacity of the braking system making the complete BBK the better choice for drivers who expect repeated aggressive braking on the streets or canyons, heavier track use or simply want the most complete front brake upgrade we offer leaving nothing on the table.
