11th Gen Civic Cast Street RMM Out In The Wild

You’re starting to make some power on your 22+ Civic or 23+ Acura Integra and you love it. However, with that bump up in horsepower comes a not-so-desired side effect - wheel hop! UGH!!!

It robs your front tires of their chance to put the power to the ground. You know you need to address this. You’ve heard an upgraded rear motor mount is the solution to your problems but are worried that it might make your ride a bit rough or noisy or maybe you were hesitant to pull the trigger due to the costs?

Well today is a great day. Hot off the press is the release of the Street 70A durometer version of our popular Mount in our a cast aluminum finish. Available to order now for the next-gen Civic and Integra.

Wheel hop is the front tire's tendency to lift off the ground. As you can imagine anytime a tire is in the air it’s also not putting power to the ground. This kills our 60ft and racing times. Basically, it slows you down. Upgraded RMMs (rear motor mounts) fix this by making the driveline stiffer. The driveline is now less prone to flex which keeps the tires planted. You can read all about your stock RMM design and our goals for a performance RMM for even more insights in our earlier blogs.

Until now we have only offered our RMM upgrade with a high-performance Billet finish for the 11th Generation Honda Civic. It's a beautiful forged aluminum piece with a sick orange anodization and 90a durometer bushing (70a and 60a options phasing out). It does a killer job taking up that driveline slack but it comes with some NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) that some people will not like when opting for the stiffest 90A version. For some, the good outweighs the bad but for others, the juice is not worth the squeeze. For these people, our new Street Cast RMM upgrade is the way to go.

This new Street Cast version of our RMM swaps the billet aluminum body for a more budget friendly cast one. We took what we’ve learned from the 10th Gen Civics and created an all new and stronger design with a reinforced I-Beam for all the latest Civics and Integras.

To help protect the cast aluminum body from the harsh environment that is the underside of your car, we coat it with a textured black powder coat for good looks and corrosion resistance. We pair it with a 416 stainless steel sleeve so you don’t have to worry about any parts getting rusted or icky from years of dirt road and grime.

Helping keep the tires on the ground is a 70a durometer bushing. It’s a great durometer for those keeping their build more on the mild side. Of course, for those who want to leave it all on the table, you still have the option to pick up our billet Race version with the 90a duro bushing.
