A Big Power Mod For Civics Is In The Pipeline

Back in late 2016 with Honda’s release of the 10th generation Civic we knew that this car was going to be something special. With Honda taking a major step by bringing the factory turbo platform to the masses we knew we could bring our team’s expertise in aftermarket turbocharger and gasoline direct injection technology to a new level for the Honda performance aftermarket.

We spent around 2 years in the development of the W1 looking at several aspects in regards to the design and construction of it. We studied how the car performed stock, how far we could push the stock turbo, and what other supporting mods would the car would need for a larger turbo. We really took a deep dive into what this product needed to be and how it needed to perform for you.

27WON stuck to a few core principles during the design of the W1 turbocharger upgrade. We knew it had to be a brand new unit. No fumbling around with core returns, no rebuilding of stock OEM parts, and no waiting several months for parts to get reworked. The unit had to be 100% drop-in. This meant no cutting or altering of OEM parts, basically, you could return the car stock just as easy as you did when you installed the W1. It had to fit like OEM and not require tons of work or parts to install. Lastly, it needed to fit the majority of the market and hit the largest group of individuals and their power goals. The W1 needed to perform for where the market was at that time.

Fast forward almost 2 years from the launch of the W1 and the 10th gen market and the enthusiasts in it have matured quite a bit. We know much more about the Civics strengths and weaknesses. There are many more supporting modifications for the chassis and drivetrain and we have a better understanding of how to fuel and tune these cars. Just like every other facet of life, we live; we learn and we grow.

This paves way for the “bigger” and better things to come.

The W1 is the most popular performance turbo upgrade for the 2016+ Civic and L15 series of engines and it likely will be for many years to come but there is a group of enthusiasts who are ready for more and looking to take that next step. There are those who have larger goals in mind.

We are listening. We are seeing what you are seeing. It’s time for more!

We have our sights on these larger goals and you can trust we will accomplish them while sticking to our core principles in a way that allows us to REDEFINE the Aftermarket. Bigger and better than before.

So what’s next for the turbo Honda Civic? Stay close, we’ll have some exciting news soon.
