CivicX Front Strut Tower Brace - Beta test approved Design Pt. 3

WOW, where does the time go? It's hard to believe that it's been quite a while since we last had an update on our upcoming Front Strut Tower Bar for the Honda Civic 10th generation. So much has been happening like our move to Las Vegas, the launch of our Turbo Inlet Pipe (TIP) for the 1.5L, as well as L15 and FK8 Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) launches. In case you need a refresh; check out our design blogs #1 and #2 before you dive into this final design update today using the links below:

So what have we been up to with this bar since the start of the 2020 calendar year? First, we went through a few final design tweaks. We spent a lot of time dialing in the fitment so that it would fit all the different Civics great. As we mentioned in Part 1 we are making this bar fit seamlessly on the various versions of the 2016+ Honda Civic. That means whether you have an FK8 Type R, FC3 Coupe, FC1 sedan or any other 10th gen Civic this bar is for you. Through many adjustments and feedback from the community, we are pleased to share that this will even have the clearance for those who are running flex-fuel kits and will accommodate most oil catch can setups.

Another feature that we have optimized is our end-plates. Notice the big center opening at both ends. These have been incorporated into our strut brace design to allow the use of various aftermarket camber plates and struts. The large opening allows those with these aftermarket parts to make tuning adjustments to their suspension on the fly and not have to worry about constantly taking a bar on and off to do so. The extra room even allows the use of motors for coilovers like these EDFC controllers.

We also cleaned up the design and moved the welds to the bottom of the bar as opposed to the top for a cleaner look. Our iconic 27WON logo is presented on a precision cut plate so others know you are rocking a genuine piece. We finished a handful of our beta bars with a textured powder black coat for durability and a stealth look. We will be offering these bars in a gunmetal gray and our signature orange for sale in the coming months.

Over the past couple of months, we have been running over half a dozen bars on select beta test cars. Beta customers have been providing us with key feedback in regards to fitment, aesthetics, performance, and even all the way down to how the package arrived at their doorstep. This is just another way we REDEFINE. We don’t just give you what we want, we work with you to create what you want.

Thanks for tuning in.

Let’s REDEFINE the aftermarket together.
