The Hondas and Acuras of SEMA 2019

SEMA 2019 has come and gone and it was bigger than ever, especially if you are a Toyota Supra fan. No seriously, with over 50+ brand new A90 Supras across dozens of booths, you literally couldn’t stand in any part of the performance hall and not be within a stone’s throw from one of Toyota's new flagship sports car.

While the S in SEMA this year stood for Supra you know that it’s just not our style. We are Honda through and through. It’s in our blood and it's what makes us who we are. The new A90 is a great car in many respects but it’s not Honda so it’s not for 27WON.

So being true to our roots here are some of our favorite Hondas from the Show.

Probably the biggest star of the whole Honda/Acura booth was the brand new Type S concept. Acura first displayed the car at a private event back in August but this was the first time the masses could check it out. It’ll be based on the next generation TLX so we’ll likely see this car launch next year with a Turbocharged V6. We’ll cross our fingers for an all-wheel-drive system.

900+ whp

Probably the most off the wall Honda build was this 2019 Honda Civic SI turned Pro Level Drift Car by Jeanneret Racing and Olson Kustom. This thing was absolutely insane. Converted to RWD, powered by a 900+ horsepower K24, and custom suspension all around to get this baby sideways. This was cool to see. Now let’s be real, if you take the body and headlights/taillights away not much of anything about this car is really a 10th gen anymore but for us that does not make it any less cool. Check out this YouTube video diving into more about this sick ride.

Another 10th gen that caught our eyes was this crazy widebodied FK7 by Joshua Sablan (@blzr10thgen_). This girl had hips. With a full kit by @kevmannz_kevtec and custom wheels from @rsvforged this car was hard to miss. Our favorite part was the beautiful blue wrap.

Of course, there was no shortage of FK8 Type R’s at the show. From @jonnys_typer with a pretty much brand new build from the ground up to our close friend @fk8.nightwing and his decked out black CTR there was bound to be a 10th gen that suited your style. If you swung by the @hondata_inc booth you would have caught a very familiar Phoenix yellow Type R owned by the one and only @hondaproJason rocking our brand new Type R performance intercooler that is coming out in JANUARY.

My personal favorite Honda/Acura from the show was not even a car at all, lol. It was actually this Acura RDX A Spec. Why? Because all the carbon add-on pieces looked so good. The roof rack fills my outdoor adventure side, but mostly I loved it because it looked so comfortable and would make for one great tow rig or road trip vehicle.

We had a great time this year and made some BIG PLANS at SEMA for 2020 that YOU will definitely want to get involved with. More on that later.

Check out the rest of these Hondas and let us know in the comments below which one was your favorite.

As always thank you for choosing to REDEFINE the Aftermarket
